Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night è il progetto di Koji Igarashi che è stato finanziato due anni fa tramite Kickstarter e che attualmente non è più previsto per Nintendo Wii U.
Igarashi, infatti, ha annunciato che questa versione del gioco sarà rilasciata su Nintendo Switch e tutti coloro che hanno prenotato l’edizione per la precedente console casalinga della grande N, oppure selezionata in fase di finanziamento su Kickstarter, sarete automaticamente aggiornati a quella di attuale generazione e non solo. Potrete nel caso anche selezionare un’altra piattaforma rispetto a Wii U, ovvero PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PS Vita.
Nel caso in cui non siate in possesso di una delle console sopra elencate potrete anche cancellare il vostro finanziamento e ricevere un rimborso.

During our Kickstarter campaign, the Wii U was at the height of its popularity, but the situation has drastically changed after the release of Nintendo Switch.
This change made it difficult to receive the necessary support from the hardware maker, which has led us to drop the Wii U development and shift the development to Nintendo Switch.
